The Cessna 182 Skyline from spinner to tail embody a marriage of authentic, time-honored aviation design and the continuous refinements based on years of customer feedback. It starts with a timeless high-wing design that offers so many practical benefits, including greater stability, superb visibility, sun blocking and inclement weather protection. This high-wing design also results in a simplified preflight inspection and easy access to pilot, passenger and cargo doors. Hangar 9 with their strict quality control, state of the art engineering, and painstaking attention to detail, are proud to introduce one of the most beautiful classics in the radio control industry. The Cessna Skylane 182 boasts stunning scale realism, featuring a level of scale detail never before seen in an almost ready to fly (ARF) model. A scale cockpit, wing strut fairings, fiberglass cowl, wheel pants and the distinctive corrugated control surfaces with fully working flaps which allow for slower scale type landings. A scale steerable nose wheel for impeccable ground handling; these are just part of this deluxe package. The wing is a two-piece plug in type which makes transport to the flying field easier. The Cessna Skylane 182 is a terrific introduction to the world of giant scale modeling and it really is a model with a difference, and that difference is quality!
Introduced in 1956, the 182 has been produced in a number of variants, including a version with retractable landing gear, and is the second most popular Cessna model, after the 172. Cessna lists 22,336 Skylanes delivered thru 2007 plus 901 Turbo Skylanes delivered thru 2007.
