The P-40 fighter/bomber was the last of the famous "Hawk" line produced by Curtiss Aircraft in the 1930s and 1940s, and it shared certain design elements with its predecessors, the Hawk and Sparrowhawk. It was the third-most numerous US fighter of World War II. The Great Planes Spitfire 25 is a combat class .25 size sport-scale, high quality, quick building model airplane. Manufacturer includes a fiberglass cowl and lightweight, balsa/ply main structures featuring an attractive MonoKote trim scheme. Even laser cut parts for installing a complete brushless electric power system are supplied. The P-40 Warhawk 25 is built like a tank, with a sheeted fuselage and thick, sturdy wing. It can be built as either a belly lander or with landing gear. The manual includes instructions for building the P-40 Warhawk 25 as a glow or electric conversion model.
With our recommended Hacker A30 8XL, 9x9 prop and 3300mAh 4S you can expect to achieve speeds over 100 mph (165 km/h).
