You don't find many park flyer-size wood electric ARF models of WWI aircraft, and none can match the design expertise that gives ElectriFly models outstanding flight performance. Built much like larger models, the Fokker's airframe is constructed of balsa and plywood materials. Its lightweight design and attention to detail stand this model apart from the rest. The prebuilt main structures are covered in high-quality, authentic MonoKote. Scale pre-painted aluminum landing gear, and lightweight scale wheels are included. A complete package of high-quality hardware that is specifically designed for light weight and precise control response is also included. To further speed and simplify assembly, the models cabanes and interplane struts come factory finished. All parts are ready for easy installation and proper alignment. A vacuum-formed radial engine replica, pre-painted cowl, along with hand-crafted machine guns, and other details enhance Fokker's already impressive appearance.

The Fokker Dr.1 saw widespread service in the spring of 1918. It became renowned as the aircraft in which Manfred von Richthofen gained his last 20 victories, and in which he was killed on 21 April 1918.
