Its wing halves detach easily for fitting the model into your vehicle. At the field, the halves plug quickly and securely onto aluminum joiner tubes. The removable radio compartment hatch allows easy access when working on the airplane. In addition to being an excellent first large-scale model, the RV-4 is a fine choice for learning to add flaps to your control options. They are not required for flight but can be used to slow the model for easier landings. The RV-4 cockpit includes a rollover bar and an instrument panel whose gauges appear realistically recessed an effect gained by placing the instrument panel decal behind the laser-cut dashboard.
