Although it looks like it's straight out of the 1930's, don't bother looking up this one in your aviation history books. The SpaceWalker was designed by Jesse Anglin of Hendersonville, North Carolina and first flew in 1986!!! Despite the fact it is a relatively new design, the SpaceWalker manages to capture all the spirit of Aviation's Golden Age. The adoption of low-wing design and substantial wing area combined with Kyosho's renowned design skills produced a calm and stable flight performer. Until now, low-wing scale planes were regarded as difficult to control and not suitable for beginner fliers. The Kyosho SpaceWalker 50e shatters this sterotype with its mild control and stability, while still delivering a magnificent scale finish. Its controllability even allows light stunts like parallel rolls and loops. This ARF version includes a pre-assembled fuselage and wing structure made from carefully selected balsa that is pre-covered with iron-on film. With the addition of a generous access hatch, this 50e version has been optimized to take advantage of the many benefits of electric flight. Predictable and calm control characteristics make the Spacewalker a perfect introduction to low-wing scale airplane flight.
Despite the fact it is a relatively new design, the SpaceWalker manages to capture all the spirit of Aviation's Golden Age.
