The Ling-Temco-Vought A-7 Corsair II is a carrier-based subsonic light attack aircraft introduced to replace the United States Navy's A-4 Skyhawk, initially entering service during the Vietnam War. The Corsair was adopted by the United States Air Force, as well as the Air National Guard, to replace A-1 Skyraiders. The A-7 Corsair II airframe design was based on the successful supersonic F-8 Crusader produced by Chance Vought. Pre-painted fuselage, wings, and tail surfaces are pre-molded and fully finished. One piece, carbon fiber tube reinforced foam wind easily attaches with 4 bolts. This closed-cell foam material delivers the benefits of costly composite construction at a fraction of the cost. It delivers the structural strength and rigidity of traditional structures without building, and also offers a smooth, paintable surface. Assembly takes only a couple of hours. Glue nose cone and tail parts onto the fuselage and install your radio system, even Deans connectors are pre-soldered. The airplane includes 4 servos, 70mm ducted fan unit with outrunner brushless motor, 45A ESC, 14.8V 2200mAh Li-poly battery pack, assorted hardware and instruction manual. The speed range is moderate with large envelop of manners. Difficult to stall, the jet will slow to a crawl and still maintain full control. Great to land, the approach is easy to control and smooth landings are easy.
