The
Aero L-39 Albatros is a high-performance jet trainer aircraft developed in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s. It was the first of the second-generation jet trainers, and the very first turbo-fan powered trainer ever produced. Later updated as the
L-59 Super Albatros and as the
L-139 (L-39 with Garrett TFE731 engine). This design is still produced in an evolved state as the L-159 ALCA, while more than
2,800 L-39s still serve with over 30 air forces around the world. The L-39 Albatros is a versatile, light attack as well as basic and advanced pilot training aircraft, and it's the most widely-used jet trainer in the world. The Sapac L-39 Composite offers a high quality, pre-painted composite fuselage, and balsa/ply built up wood wing design. Aircraft has an aerodynamically very clean airframe capable of reaching extreme speeds. The large flaps create a high amount of lift for awesome slow speed handling. ARF lets you use the provided fixed landing gear system, but it's also designed for the optional Sapac RZ180 pneumatic retract system. The L-39 comes with a full hardware package, illustrated instruction manual and optional rudder upgrade package.
