Paramotor XL2 Mike & Ace 4.2/5.06m Wing Combo Package

Since the introduction of the Pilot Tom for use with the Backpack XL/XL2 or the Trike XL, we have been thinking that it was necessary to provide a larger wing. The Ace 4.2 is designed and built in-house by Opale Paramodels. Designer Mathieu Charles has combined the latest high performance techniques in this new wing. The results are clear to see. The proven technology of the Split 1.6 in combination with the Opale Ace technology make this wing a pleasure for the pilot with some paramodel experience. Whether its used for paramotor or pure soaring, in the flat country, on the coast or in the mountains, with the Ace 4.2, the modern pilot can always be sure to be on the best side. By pushing the limits of feasibility, we were able to maintain the advantages of the technology, while still improving the wing. During the development of this wing, we focused on increasing its speed range while preserving the basic characteristics of this wing, which are reliability, an easy handling nature, and an outstanding level of stability.

When a pilot makes a control error or when the model collapses, the wing inflates itself and recovers quickly. The wing proved at the Exhibition in Germany that it can handle a lot. With the 30km/h wind speed this wing was still going forward. The visual signature of this Opale wing will make you recognize, without any doubt, the front from the back of the wing, even from a great distance.

Backpack XL2 is designed to fly extra large 3.5m - 4.5m wings. It features an hyper-realistically designed frame to protect your flying equipment, pilot, harness, cameras or anything else that you choose to carry. The risers attach to a separate arm that bolts to the main frame for extra rigidity and has multiple riser locations for setting up CG no matter what equipment is on board. The XL2 also features a robust steel prop ring sure to last through years of landings. Unique hold-down tabs are also incorporated into the backpack to secure your pilot and harness while in flight.
