First glider and a good choice

Have been flying RC planes for about 3 years. The Super Sport 2.3.5 is my first glider. I did a lot of reading and watching of Radio Carbon Art videos and set it up with three flight modes to begin with: normal, thermal, and landing, in which a butterfly mix is enabled for flaps and ailerons. I have found it to be very enjoyable and a good learning platform. I can see setup changes in the flight behavior--flip to thermal and watch the plane rise, tune out butterfly ballooning with elevator trim, etc. It's large enough to see easily and is easy to hand launch (I got the recommended setup with the MVVS 960 motor). I use a Jeti DS-14 transmitter, which makes setup easy. I'm also using a MVario2 altitude sensor, which is a nice learning aid for lift and sink.
